Basically the roller shutter is somewhat similar to the roller doors used on garages. It offers the first line of defence against break-ins as being a visual deterrent.
The beauty of these particular shutters, however is thermal insulation. Slats are joined (hinged) together to make the shutter screen. They roll up and down through channel guides back onto the roll inside the headbox at top. These particular slats are double skinned and have PU Foam injected between them for insulation.
This clever product can provide up to 90% of the thermal transfer through the covered window. It almost blocks out 100% of light, 50% of noise and would be great installed on the windows of a media room.
The Roller Shutter spans up to 3000mm and comes in 4 headbox colours and 8 slat colours.
